We are in the midst of a Longevity Revolution. In the last ten years, the number of Centenarians has Doubled. Sure, we may have physical changes, we may lose hearing or mobility, but things like personality, ambiton and values don't necessarily change. So when it comes to Ageism, what I would ask people to think of first is,

What do you think of when you think of the word "Old"?

You may think of "wisdom," but chances are you're not thinking of "energy," "vitality" or "future-thinking," but we should. Because older adults are just as excited -- could be just as excited about the future if our society would open up the vocabulary and the representation to allow them to see that it's possible.
